As a child I was always interested in music. From playing pretend ‘rockstar’ and directing my own choir to choreographing an entire musical..

 

It was these childish actions that led me to my passion. There was nothing else I wanted to do. After years of rehearsing, performing, auditioning, and dancing;  I eventually found myself in a position where I was asked to fill in as a substitute teacher. It was completely last minute, no notes, no lesson plans; only my pure intuition and knowledge. I was shaking, worried every student was going to drop out because of my lack of knowing how to lead a classroom. However, I could not have been more wrong. The students actually listened, and looked to me for guidance, they were laughing, learning and progressing. Seeing a student’s passion ignite just like mine did all those years ago. 

 

For the next two years, I taught at different music schools. Building confidence in myself as an instructor; learning that every child and adult retains information differently. I would experiment and create different teaching styles; customizing my lessons to each student. Eventually, I found myself wanting to build my own curriculum. 

 

In the summer of 2024, I decided to take the leap in starting my own private music lesson business. Each lesson is customized and tailored to their specific needs, goals and interests. Working and growing their knowledge of the arts, increasing cognitive skills, building confidence, and mastering their instrument.
